Hello, I am a lecturer at University of Southern California Spatial Sciences Institute. I received my doctoral degree in Design, Construction and Planning from the University of Florida in 2018, with a concurrent master degree in Interdisciplinary Ecology. I received my master degree in Urban and Regional Planning from UF in 2014. My research broadly revolves around urban allocation, geodesign, land use analysis, and 3D visualization.

I have wide range of interest that relate to 3D modeling, visualization, GIS and spatial analysis. At USC, I teach a number of undergraduate and graduate courses that focus on geodesign, sustainability, stakeholder engagement, fundamental and advanced GIS analysis, and 3D modeling.

On my spare time, you may find me exploring Los Angeles on my motorcycle.

Land Use Suitability Analysis

Hillsborough County Land Use Suitability Analysis

Project Name
Hillsborough County Land Use Suitability Analysis

This final project aimed to find the optimal locations for mix-use development in Hillsborough County. Land use suitability was used to perform the analysis. In addition, LiDAR data was processed in ArcGIS to extract the average building height for the existing buildings. This data was then joined to each building footprint GIS dataset. Finally, the building footprints were extruded to their true height in CityEngine. The attached poster shows the process of this analysis.
